Cyperus Papyrus

Cyperus papyrus (papyrus sedge, paper reed, Indian matting plant, Nile grass) is a species of aquatic flowering plant belonging to the sedge family Cyperaceae. It is a tender herbaceous perennial, native to Africa, and forms tall stands of reed-like swamp vegetation in shallow water. Papyrus sedge (and its close relatives) has a very long history of use by humans, notably by the Ancient Egyptians—it is the source of papyrus paper, parts of it can be eaten, and the highly buoyant stems can be made into boats. It is now often cultivated as an ornamental plant.

Alisma Gramineum

The aquatic ribbon-leaved water plantain resembles its more common relative, common water plantain; however it is generally more diminutive in all dimensions, has aerial leaves that are not heart-shaped at the base and submerged leaves that are long and ribbon-like. The plant may however be identified with certainty by its styles which are strongly curved back. The small, three-petalled flowers are white or pale pink with a yellow spot at the centre, are about 5-7 mm across and grow in a many-branched head with an average of about 60 flowers but up to 300. The species is also easily mistaken for another close relative, the narrow-leaved water-plantain, and these two were originally thought to be varieties of the common water-plantain.

Jasminum Auriculatum

This plant is a must for everyone who appreciates fragrant flowers. The species is not very common though it deserves a special attention. Flowers of Jasmie Molle have as srong fragrance as world-famous Jasmine Sambac, while the plant itself has many advantages comparing with King of Jasmines. It is a dense, naturally bushy, fast-growing medium-size shrub that responds well to pruning and can be used both for potting culture and garden specimen, as well as wonderful fragrant hedge. If left unpruned, Molle may shoot long vining branches, but normally the plant doesn’t require any support and grows as a multi-stem bush with a strong root system. The plant is relatively cold hardy, like most of the jasmines. It will take at least a few hours of light frost without any damage.
